🇲🇽 Trustless Work Joins the Stellar Hackathon in CDMX

Builders from five countries. A dozen Costa Ricans. One shared goal: accelerate stablecoin adoption in Latin America.

We’re excited to share that Trustless Work was invited to join the Stellar Hackathon in Mexico City, hosted by the Blockchain Acceleration Foundation (BAF). This event brought together developers, designers, and founders from across Latin America for a week of hands-on building, workshops, and community around programmable money.

🚀 Why This Matters

Latin America isn’t just interested in stablecoins—it’s building with them.

Over a dozen builders came from Costa Rica alone, a clear signal that this region is hungry for better infrastructure—especially programmable escrow. Stablecoins are here. Now platforms want flows they can trust.

🛠 What We Brought

  • Workshops – We helped teams build escrow-enabled flows using Trustless Work’s API and templates.
  • Mentorship – We connected with builders across Argentina, Colombia, Bolivia, Mexico, and Costa Rica to support and challenge their ideas.

Both Joel and Alberto (yes, that’s me) made the trip to CDMX. As Costa Rican founders, it was powerful to see so many builders from our country show up—12 in total, more than any other country.

We’ve always believed Latin America is one of the best proving grounds for programmable finance. Now we’re seeing it.

💡 Final Take

Across the region, builders are stepping up—not just to innovate, but to solve real problems in their communities.

That’s what excites us most.

From freelance work to crowdfunding, from donation platforms to p2p marketplaces, escrow is becoming a foundational tool for financial empowerment. And we’re proud to support the builders making it happen.
